Paragon
maintains the on-site capacity to perform your differential centrifugation
tasks. With the success of the Genome Projects, a new paradigm in pharmaceutical development has begun involving the systematic study of the protein complement - the proteome - in humans, human pathogens, livestock, and food crops, among others. Some of these efforts involve the differential display and characterization of unique proteins, high throughput phenotype analysis, and the inference of functional activity from DNA sequences, as well as small molecule discovery by co-crystallization strategies. The characterization of any proteome is a colossal endeavor that will require many years to accomplish and will require the development of new experimental tools spanning the fields of Molecular Biology, Protein Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry and Bioinformatics. Paragon is meeting the “proteomics” challenge by providing our clients from pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies with bioseperation services and 2-D Gel Electrophoresis. |
